Submit a task

Who can do this

  • CanInteractive-course studentUp to 3 attempts. Grades come from your trainer or TA.
  • Can'tMasterclass studentMasterclass classes have assignments instead. See Submit an assignment.

Who does it instead: Out of attempts, or think a mark is wrong? Talk to your trainer or your TA (organizer).

Steps

  1. Open the lesson’s Task step and read what to hand in.
  2. In Upload Files, drag your file in or click Browse Files. Use a zip, PDF or text file under 10 MB.
  3. Click Submit. You see Your task has been submitted successfully.
  4. Your first upload completes the step, so the next step unlocks straight away. You don’t have to wait for the grade.

Your grade

Under Your Files, each upload shows when you sent it, its Mark (Pending, Passed or Failed), Your Feedback from your trainer, and a Download button.

Pending Tasks in the course menu lists tasks waiting for a grade or that failed. Action Required means some need resubmitting.

Attempts

  • You have 3 attempts. The page shows which attempt you’re on.
  • Your trainer grades your latest submission.
  • After the third, you see that you’ve used all your attempts.
  • There’s no deadline for tasks.
  • Passing tasks matters for exams: you need at least 60% of your tasks passed to start each exam. See Why can’t I start my exam?.

You can’t

  • Change your mark. Only your trainer, your TA (organizer) or a DICHI admin can.
  • Get a 4th attempt yourself. Ask your trainer or TA (organizer).
