An interactive course is split into modules, each module into lessons, and each lesson into steps:
| Step | What you do | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Learn | Read the lesson. | Complete a lesson |
| Practice | Answer questions until they’re all right. | Complete a practice |
| Code Lab | Write code that passes the tests. | Complete a code lab |
| Task | Upload a file for your trainer to grade. | Submit a task |
Some lessons end with an exam or a task exam. See Take an exam.
The course menu
The left menu of your course has:
- Achievments:
- Certificate of Completion shows how close you are to your certificate.
- Course Completion counts your lessons, practices and tasks, and how many tasks Passed, Failed or are Pending.
- Pending Tasks: tasks waiting for a grade, and failed ones. Action Required tells you how many to resubmit.
- Learning Modules: each module with its number of lessons, practices, tasks and code labs. Open a module to see its lessons, and a lesson to see its steps. Each step shows the DCoins it’s worth, such as +5 DCoins.
- Exams: each exam and task exam, with the dates it’s available.
The module page
Click a module to see What you will learn, the Expected Completion time, your progress ring, and its Lessons. At the bottom, How was this module? lets you Give feedback.
Doing the steps in order
You work through the steps in course order, and a step stays locked until the one before it is done. See Why is a step locked?.
