Take an exam

Who can do this

• ✓ CanInteractive-course studentOnly while the exam is open, after its lesson, with 60% of earlier tasks passed.
• ✕ Can'tMasterclass studentMasterclass classes have no exams in DICHI Learn.

Before you start

Open the exam from Exams in your course menu, or reach it in your lesson order. The exam page shows:

• how many Questions it has and how many mins you get;
• 3 Attempts, and You need at least 60% to pass your exam;
• your attempt slots: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Attempt;
• any Action Required notes. Clear these first; see Why can’t I start my exam?.

Steps

1. Click Start Exam. A window reminds you that your latest submission becomes your final score. Click Start Exam again.
2. The timer starts now and runs for the full time, even if you leave the page.
3. Answer each question. Your answers save as you go. If you see Failed to save answer, check your connection and pick your answer again.
4. Move with Back and Continue. The last question has Submit.
5. Click Submit. Your result appears straight away.

The timer

• You have N minutes left! appears in the last 15 minutes, and turns red in the last 6.
• When time runs out, Time’s up appears. Click Submit to send what you saved.
• Left the page by accident? Open the exam again: you carry on with the same attempt, and the clock kept running.

After you submit

You see You Passed or You Failed, your score (for example Your result is 18/25), and a score for each topic. Then:

• Continue: go on with your course.
• Retake: start another attempt, if you have any left. See Exam results and retakes.

Exams don’t earn DCoins.
